Sourcing Approach
Indian growing and processing centres include Kollam, Panruti, the Andhra Pradesh east coast, Goa and Konkan, and coastal Karnataka.
Quality Focus
Lots are assessed for colour class, kernel count, defects, moisture, FFA, peroxide value, microbiology and foreign material.
Packaging & Supply
11.34 kg vacuum tins or gas-flushed flexi-pouches, two per 22.68 kg carton; 100 g–1 kg retail vacuum packs; and 10/20 kg lined bulk cartons.
Origin
Indian-origin raw cashew lots can be contracted with documentation. India-processed imported raw cashew is declared by its true origin.
Seasonality
West-coast harvest is mainly February–May, with the east coast starting later. Processing continues year-round on stored raw nuts.
Sustainability
Organic and nominated social-certification programmes are available. Supplier assessment prioritises worker protection in shelling and productive use of cashew shell liquid and processing by-products.
